what is MALA ?
Mala is a set of beads that has traditionally been used in prayer and meditation ‰ÛÓ often called prayer beads. Anyone can wear mala beads - it is not a religious item only.
Malas are made to specific spiritual number: 108
108 is a significant number for many reasons. Some associate the possibility of enlightenment with taking only 108 breaths a day while in deep meditation. Others connect the number‰۪s significance to the heart chakra, as there is said to be 108 energy lines leading to it, one of which is believed to be the path to self realisation.
Ganesha
Although Ganesha has many attributes, he is readily identified by his elephant head and four arms. He is widely revered, more specifically, as the remover of obstacles and thought to bring good luck; the patron of arts and sciences; and the deva of intellect and wisdom.
