Bundi is one of those Rajasthani towns that feels slightly out of time — faded blue houses, an old palace looking down over it all, streets that smell like woodsmoke. I went there without much of a plan and left with a very clear picture of this dress.
It's cut from lightweight cotton in a deep petrol green, printed with traditional Indian florals and borders that have that imperfect, hand-done character. Easy 3/4 sleeves, an easy shape — the kind of dress you put on and forget you're wearing.
