This kantha textile once served as a family blanket in East Bengal — hand-stitched, passed down, mended and loved until it became something closer to a keepsake than a piece of cloth. Fabrics like this are becoming rare; few are still being made the old way.
Cut into an oversized, easy-fitting coat, it's fully reversible, with two entirely different prints living on either side of the same garment. The quilting gives it just enough weight to feel substantial without ever feeling heavy.
Throw it over a simple dress for an evening that's turned cool, or wear it as the whole outfit — it doesn't need much help.
